but two walls away I am currently at -60 on 5 Ghz, and 17Mbps down. I am wondering what my goals should be, for the first single AP survey my best signal was -29 dBm but that was 3ft away direct line of sight. In the interest of determining best AP placement or need of additional APs I have been conducting signal surveys with only one access point connected at a time. So my question is this: Still having lot of signal strength and coverage problems with the new setup. that results lots of doubled up walls to pass through. crawlspace in between and not an open layout, lots of hallways, closets, etc. The house is old 1921 Lathe and plaster, two floors with 3ft.
